## About us

WP International Trade GmbH is a family-run business based in Dresden, specialised in imports from China into the German and European market. Together with our partner company DeMuxi Guangzhou Trade Co., Ltd. we run our own sourcing office in Guangzhou. This combines German quality standards and compliance know-how with local market expertise and direct contact to Chinese manufacturers.

Towards the German customs authority and EU market surveillance, we act as the **registered importer**. We assume the official importer role under EU product safety law. As our client, you do not need your own EORI number or in-house compliance apparatus.

### How long does an import from China to Germany take?
Depending on the transport route: sea freight approx. 4 to 6 weeks from shipment, rail freight via the New Silk Road approx. 2 to 3 weeks, air freight approx. 1 week. The lead time for production and quality control adds to this depending on complexity. We advise you on the right solution based on volume, weight, value and delivery pressure.

### Which compliance topics do you cover for imports into the EU?
CE marking, RoHS, REACH, GPSR, WEEE for waste electrical equipment, Packaging Act (Lucid), Battery Act (REBAT), CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment) and EUDAMED for medical devices. As the registered importer in Germany, we take on the official importer role under EU product safety law.

### Do you also handle customs clearance and all documents?
Yes. Complete customs declaration via the ATLAS system including HS-code determination. Preparation and review of all documents (commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, EUR.1, declaration of conformity). Import VAT and customs duties are handled via our EORI number.

### Does WP International Trade have its own office in China?
Yes. Our partner company DeMuxi Guangzhou Trade Co., Ltd. has been present in Guangzhou with its own office since October 2020. On the ground we coordinate factory visits, quality inspections and communication with Chinese suppliers directly in Mandarin.

### In which languages can I communicate with you?
German or English with the team in Dresden. All communication with Chinese suppliers and authorities in Mandarin is handled by our team in Guangzhou. This removes language barriers, time-zone friction and cultural misunderstandings.

### Which products do you import from China?
In principle all legal products. Focus areas: electronics, medical devices (Class I), photovoltaics, machinery and equipment, technical consumer goods, automotive accessories. We accompany the full certification for regulated products.

### How do I submit a product inquiry?
You can submit a structured RFQ at https://en.wp-international-trade.de/Produktanfrage.html. You can include several products in one inquiry. You receive a written acknowledgement, followed by a free initial call to scope the requirements. Then our team in Guangzhou starts the supplier research.

### Who has access to the Trade-Hub?
You and your purchasing users. Multiple users per company are possible, optionally with two-step approval (request and confirm). Every action is logged in the audit trail with timestamp and user ID.

### How is CBAM handled for imports?
CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) has been in its transitional phase since October 2023 and is fully effective from January 2026 for the CBAM sectors. For every import we check whether CBAM applies, determine embedded emissions based on Chinese production data and prepare the CBAM reports.

### What payment terms are common in China?
Typical terms are 30% on order confirmation and 70% before shipment against B/L copy. For first orders or critical volumes, we also arrange Letter of Credit structures. Payments are processed via our China office DeMuxi Guangzhou Trade Co., Ltd.
